Product Overview

PA6 General Purpose is the workhorse of the nylon family: a cost-effective, tough and easily processed polyamide 6 that delivers a balanced profile of mechanical strength, wear resistance and chemical resistance for thousands of industrial applications. With a tensile strength of 70–80 MPa, flexural modulus of 2500–2800 MPa and Izod impact of 5–8 kJ/m², it performs reliably in gears, bearing cages, casters, cable ties and general injection-molded parts.

Jinsu's general-purpose PA6 is produced from high-quality virgin resin on twin-screw compounding lines, giving consistent melt flow (30–60 g/10min at 230°C/2.16kg), stable molecular weight and clean, uniform pellets in natural or white color. It processes easily on standard injection molding machines between 230–260°C, fills thin-wall and complex molds reliably, and is compatible with common additives such as lubricants, nucleating agents and color masterbatches. Where higher stiffness is needed, we also offer PA6 GF10-50 and impact-modified grades. High-viscosity PA6 can also be used for multilayer film co-extrusion.

As an ISO 9001-certified Chinese supplier, Jinsu provides factory-direct pricing, free samples, low MOQ and worldwide shipping. Request a quote and technical datasheet for PA6 general purpose pellets today.

Applications in Detail

Bearings & Bearing Cages

PA6's low coefficient of friction and good wear resistance make it a proven material for bearing cages, bushings and slide bearings. The grade's dimensional stability and toughness allow pressed-in metal inserts to stay secure, while its self-lubricating behavior reduces noise and extends service life in motors and gearboxes.

Gears & Mechanical Parts

For gears, pulleys, rollers and levers, general-purpose PA6 combines adequate stiffness, excellent fatigue resistance and quiet operation. It absorbs vibration and shock better than metal or glass-filled grades, and can be reinforced or lubricated further for high-load or high-speed transmissions.

Cable Ties & General Injection Parts

Cable ties, clips, fasteners, casters and housings benefit from PA6's toughness, snap-fit strength and chemical resistance. Its easy flow fills thin sections cleanly, enabling fast cycle times and high output on multi-cavity molds at competitive part cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between PA6 and PA66?

PA6 absorbs slightly more moisture, has a lower melting point and is easier to process with a wider processing window. PA66 offers higher heat resistance and stiffness but costs more. For most general-purpose parts, PA6 provides the best cost-performance balance.

Does PA6 absorb moisture and how should it be dried?

Yes, PA6 is highly hygroscopic. Dry at 80–90°C for 4–8 hours with a desiccant dryer, keeping moisture below 0.1% before molding. Store in sealed containers and use within 24 hours of opening, or re-dry before use.

Can PA6 be supplied in custom colors?

Yes. Natural and white pellets are standard, and we can color-match custom shades using high-quality masterbatches. For high volumes we can also compound directly to your color specification.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Our standard MOQ is one ton for general-purpose PA6, with smaller trial quantities available for samples. We ship worldwide by sea or air, and we can arrange export documentation, palletizing and regional delivery.
