Product Overview
Wear-resistant PA66 is a self-lubricating nylon 66 compound containing MoS2 and/or PTFE, delivering a low friction coefficient and outstanding wear resistance under high load and high-speed sliding. With tensile strength of 75–85 MPa and flexural modulus of 2600–3000 MPa, it is one of the strongest wear grades available without metal reinforcement.
It is specified for gears, bearings, cams, sliding parts and chain guides in machinery, automotive and industrial equipment, where it replaces bronze and other metals to reduce weight, noise and lubrication maintenance. Available in natural, black and graphite pellets.
Jinsu manufactures wear-resistant PA66 under ISO 9001 with factory-direct pricing, free samples, low MOQ and worldwide shipping. Contact us for MoS2/PTFE PA66 pricing and datasheets.
Applications in Detail
Gears & Cams
Gears and cams transmit load at high speed; the internal MoS2/PTFE lubrication in our PA66 wear grade keeps friction low and surfaces intact, delivering quiet, long-lasting operation with less maintenance than metal or standard nylon.
Bearings & Sliding Parts
Plain bearings, bushings and sliding parts run dry or with limited lubrication. The low friction coefficient and high mechanical strength of wear-resistant PA66 keep these components dimensionally stable and resistant to seizure.
Chain Guides & Conveyor Components
Chain guides, wear strips and conveyor components are subject to continuous abrasion. Wear-resistant PA66 provides the surface durability to extend replacement intervals in packaging, textile and automation equipment.
Frequently Asked Questions
What lubricants are used in wear-resistant PA66?
Our wear grade uses MoS2 (molybdenum disulfide) and/or PTFE, depending on the application. MoS2 suits high-load, high-pressure contact; PTFE provides very low friction. We can match the additive package to your operating conditions.
How does wear-resistant PA66 compare to bronze?
Wear-resistant PA66 is lighter, quieter, corrosion-free and needs no external lubrication, at lower cost. For very high loads or temperatures above ~80°C, metal or reinforced grades may still be required — our engineers can help you decide.
Can it run without lubrication?
Yes — that is the main advantage. The internal solid lubricants allow dry running in most applications. For extreme speeds or loads, a small amount of external lubrication further extends life.
What are the molding conditions?
Dry at 80–100°C for 4–8 hours (moisture ≤0.1%), melt temperature 260–290°C, mold temperature 70–100°C. Graphite-filled grades may require slightly different settings; we provide grade-specific parameters.
