Product Overview

Wear-resistant PA6 is a self-lubricating nylon 6 compound with internal lubricants that deliver a low friction coefficient and excellent wear resistance, extending the service life of moving parts that run without external lubrication. With tensile strength of 65–75 MPa and flexural modulus of 2400–2700 MPa, it keeps its mechanical performance while sliding and rotating reliably.

This grade is widely used in bearing cages, gears, sliding blocks, guide rails and textile machinery, where metal parts are replaced to cut weight, noise and cost. It is available in natural and black pellets.

Jinsu produces wear-resistant PA6 on dedicated twin-screw lines under ISO 9001, with factory-direct pricing, free samples, low MOQ and worldwide shipping. Contact us for low-friction nylon 6 pricing and datasheets.

Applications in Detail

Bearing Cages & Gears

Bearing cages and small gears run continuously under load. The internal lubricants in our wear-resistant PA6 reduce friction and wear without grease, lowering maintenance and preventing contamination in clean environments such as food and textile machinery.

Sliding Blocks & Guide Rails

Sliding blocks, guide rails and cam followers benefit from a low, stable friction coefficient and dimensional stability. Parts run smoother, quieter and last longer than with standard unfilled nylon.

Textile & Industrial Machinery

High-speed textile and packaging machinery needs wear parts that resist abrasion from continuous motion. Wear-resistant PA6 delivers long, maintenance-free service in these demanding environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is wear resistance achieved?

Our wear-resistant PA6 incorporates internal solid lubricants (e.g. MoS2, PTFE or graphite, depending on grade) that reduce the coefficient of friction and protect the surface under sliding contact, with no external grease required.

When should I choose wear-resistant PA6 over PA66?

Choose PA6 for cost-sensitive applications below ~70°C continuous service where surface finish and price matter. Choose PA66 wear-resistant grades for higher heat, higher load or where dimensional stability under moisture is critical.

Can wear-resistant PA6 replace metal parts?

In many applications yes — it cuts weight, reduces noise, eliminates lubrication maintenance and lowers cost. For heavily loaded or high-temperature applications, glass-reinforced or PA66-based wear grades may be more suitable; our engineers can advise.

What are the processing requirements?

Dry at 80–90°C for 4–6 hours (moisture ≤0.1%), melt temperature 230–260°C, mold temperature 60–90°C. The internal lubricants also improve mold release.
