Product Overview

PA66 FR is a flame-retardant, glass-reinforced nylon 66 compound rated UL94 V-0 at 0.8 mm, with a halogen-free option for applications with strict environmental requirements. It combines the heat resistance of nylon 66 (HDT 240–250°C) with electrical-grade flame performance, making it a trusted material for electrical switches, terminal blocks, contactor housings, motor parts and EV charging connectors.

Flame-retardant nylon must keep its mechanical properties and electrical tracking resistance after exposure to heat and current. Our PA66 FR compound balances tensile strength of 140–170 MPa with processability, and can be formulated for color (natural, black, grey), glow-wire requirements and halogen-free compliance (IEC 61249 / RoHS).

What is the flame rating and thickness?

Our PA66 FR is rated UL94 V-0 at 0.8 mm wall thickness, with HDT of 240–250°C. Thinner-wall ratings (V-0 at 0.4 mm) are available on request for specific applications.

How should FR PA66 be stored and processed?

FR compounds are moisture and heat sensitive. Store sealed below 35°C, away from light, and dry at 80–90°C for 4–6 hours. Use within 4 hours after drying; keep residence time at temperature under 5 minutes.
