Product Overview

Flame Retardant PP is an environmentally friendly flame-retardant polypropylene based mainly on phosphorus and nitrogen elements, rated UL94 V-0 at 1.6 mm and V-2 at 0.8 mm. Unlike traditional halogen-based systems, our FR PP combines condensed-phase and gas-phase flame-retardant mechanisms in a synergistic way: on one hand it raises flame-retardant efficiency through the combined action of both phases, and on the other hand it interrupts the heat-exchange mechanism to carry away the heat needed for combustion.

This halogen-free formulation produces less smoke and fewer corrosive gases in a fire, complies with RoHS and modern environmental requirements, and meets glow-wire requirements of GWFI 850. With a density of 0.95-1.05 g/cm³ and excellent cost performance, it is the economical first choice for appliance housings, electrical control boxes, power strip shells and power tool housings.
