Product Overview
Halogen-Free FR PC/ABS (grade SF75 HF) is a flame-retardant polycarbonate/ABS alloy rated UL94 V-0 at 1.5 mm, formulated without halogens to meet RoHS and modern environmental requirements. It delivers an excellent balance of impact strength (40–60 kJ/m²), heat resistance (HDT 95–110°C) and processing flow, with tensile strength of 50–60 MPa.
PC/ABS alloys are valued where standard PC is too stiff or too expensive and ABS alone lacks heat or flame performance. Our SF75 HF grade is ideal for EV charger housings, electronics enclosures, office equipment, appliance panels and automotive interiors, where designers need flame safety without sacrificing impact or surface quality.
Produced under ISO 9001 with halogen-free FR technology, Jinsu's FR PC/ABS is available factory-direct with free samples, low MOQ and worldwide shipping. Ask for SF75 HF pricing and datasheets.
Applications in Detail
EV Charger & Power Equipment Housings
Charging equipment and power housings must meet strict flame and electrical safety standards. SF75 HF provides UL94 V-0 at 1.5 mm with halogen-free compliance, good flow for complex housings, and impact strength that protects parts during transport and daily use.
Office Equipment & Appliance Panels
Printers, monitors, power tools and appliance panels benefit from PC/ABS's balanced stiffness and impact, plus excellent painted and textured surface finish. The halogen-free FR system also satisfies green procurement requirements in Europe and North America.
Lithium Battery Housings
Battery housings for power tools, e-bikes and energy storage systems need flame resistance, impact protection and dimensional stability. SF75 HF delivers UL94 V-0 at 1.5 mm with halogen-free compliance, protecting battery cells and meeting electrical safety requirements in compact, thin-wall designs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does halogen-free mean and why does it matter?
Halogen-free flame retardants contain no bromine or chlorine, so under fire they produce less smoke and fewer corrosive gases than traditional FR systems. This matters for electronics, public equipment and compliance with RoHS and green-procurement standards.
How is FR PC/ABS different from FR PC?
PC/ABS offers better impact at low temperature, easier processing (240–270°C vs 260–300°C) and lower cost than FR PC, with slightly lower heat resistance (HDT 95–110°C vs 120–130°C). Choose PC/ABS for housings below ~100°C; choose PC for hotter or optically transparent parts.
What colors are available for SF75 HF?
SF75 HF is available in black and natural, with custom color matching available for production volumes. Contact us for color approval samples.
How should FR PC/ABS be dried and molded?
Dry at 90–100°C for 3–5 hours with a desiccant dryer; moisture must be ≤0.05% before molding. Recommended melt temperature is 240–270°C with mold temperature 50–80°C.
